Will the Olympics take place?

Honestly, I really don’t know but suspect they won’t. The Olympic Games – some call it the Greatest Show on Earth and I’m one of those. Having been postponed from last year it is now due to take place between Friday, 23 July 2021 – Sunday, 8 August 2021.

There are many of you out there who will remember the feel good factor London 2012 brought to the whole nation – the power of sport / the games. As there is doubt as to whether the games will take place we thought we would bring the Games to Croydon High!

This week we have launched a challenge to year groups in the senior school – Who will be back from Olympia first? Pupils are able to choose from a range of activities to participate in during their games lessons. These are then converted into miles and collated as a year group.

At the end of each week, we’ll show the progress each year group has made.

Who will bring the gold back to Croydon High?

As a school, Croydon High School encourages pupils to uphold the Olympic values in all aspects of school life.
