Junior Spring Concert 2024 – We Could Have Danced All Night!

April 19, 2024

On Tuesday 26 March, we held our Junior School Spring Concert in the Holt Hall. It was a joyous evening of music performed by our Year 3 & 4 Choir, Year 5 & 6 Choir, Orchestra, and soloists.

The theme of the concert was ‘Dance’ and included songs such as Dance of the LeavesThe Rhythm of LifeI Could Have Danced All Night and a comical Farmyard Tango. Orchestra impressed us with their Hungarian Dance No.5 (Brahms).

Year 5 & 6 Choir entertained us when they put on their tap shoes to dance a routine during Singin’ in the Rain. We heard spectacular solo pieces from Alice (harp), Tabitha (clarinet), Victoria (piano), Delilah (harp), Shanaya (vocal), Ellie (piano), Amaya (flute). Isobel gave a stunning and heartfelt vocal rendition of the beautiful song Both Sides Now by Joni Mitchell. The final song of the night had full audience participation with everybody moving and singing along to Abba’s Dancing Queen. We are extremely proud of every girl who took part in the concert, and it was a lovely way to end our Spring Term.
