Sixth Form Pizza and Pyjamas

One of our aims for this year was to allow the Sixth Form to grow and bond. We really wanted both Upper and Lower Sixth to feel welcomed into the new sixth form and academic year – what better way to do that than to hold a Pizza and Pyjama night!

On the first day of term, we held a Sixth Form sleepover where all Sixth Form stayed overnight at school taking part in bonding and creative activities. We started off making Vision Boards, creating posters or collages to motivate us to work hard to achieve our future dreams. We then teamed up to create some inspiring artwork on canvases to decorate our new Sixth Form and put our ‘stamp’ on the space.

After this creative start, it was time to put our minds to a quiz compiled by the Head Girl Team reminding us of our childhood! Saving the best until last, we finished the activity section with the iconic game of sardines. Hiding and searching around the whole school, we ‘got our steps in’ as we searched from the music department at one end to the very top of K-block at the other, trying not to scare ourselves in the empty corridors. We then finished the evening with pizza and a movie before tucking ourselves into sleeping bags – what a fabulous way to kick-start the term.

Thank you so much to all the teachers who very willingly organised activities, stayed late or came in early, and especially to Mrs Bradshaw and Mrs Head who (hopefully) enjoyed staying the night as well!
