In Classics we aim to bring the dead back to life. We offer three subjects. We deliver Latin from Y6 up to A-level, starting with the Cambridge Latin Course and moving onto the new de Romanis course.  Our approach is to combine language and cultural history, using tried and trusted traditional methods as well as cutting-edge digital learning. The subject is incredibly interdisciplinary and it also provides an excellent platform for the communicative and analytical skills needed to flourish in the 21st century; as well as cultural empathy. We also offer Classical Civilisation at GCSE and A-level and classical Greek at GCSE. Currently around 30% of pupils opt for a classical subject at GCSE and every year we prepare students to study classical subjects at Russell Group universities. We also run a thriving classics society and have run residential trips to Sicily, Greece and the Bay of Naples in recent years
