About Sarah-Jane Pendleton
Miss Pendleton joined us in March 2023 as Head of the Junior School. She is incredibly excited to be joining this exceptional school with its loving ethos, enabling girls to celebrate their unique qualities and talents and its commitment to excellence.
Having graduated with a first class honours degree in 1998, Miss Pendleton is bringing a wealth of expertise and experience to the school. She was the Head of an excellent Church of England Primary School in Sydenham for 7 years and before that was Deputy Head of an Outstanding school in Lewisham, and has also been a National Strategies School Improvement Literacy Consultant for Lewisham LEA.
Miss Pendleton is already part of the GDST family, having been a governor at Sydenham High School for 5 years, as well as her daughter being a pupil in the Junior School there.
She is looking forward to leading this very special Junior school on the next part of its journey with a promise of excellence to be maintained and developed further so that girls will thrive and flourish, and possess a strong sense of Croydon High spirit.
