    The Role: 

    Croydon High School presents an excellent opportunity for a talented teacher of Geography to take leadership of a flourishing department and drive it through the next phase of its development.  As Head of Geography, you will take overall responsibility for the professional leadership and management of the department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning are delivered, resources are used efficiently and effectively and the curriculum is managed and developed in accordance with school policy.

    Geography is a popular subject throughout the school with pupils achieving excellent results.

    The department boasts regular fieldtrips and the department also has a rich co-curricular offer.

    If you have experience of teaching Geography up to A level and can use your passion for education to inspire, motivate and support pupils, we would love to hear from you.

    The role:

    Croydon High School are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Physics to deliver inspiring and engaging Physics lessons to students across KS3 to KS5, and Chemistry, ideally to KS3/4. You will play a pivotal role in delivering our bespoke Science curriculum and contributing to the department’s outstanding record of academic achievement and co-curricular success.

    With Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a proven track record in teaching Physics, you will possess strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to professional development.     The Role:

    Croydon High School is inviting recent school or university graduates with a passion for sports to join our Gap Year Assistant programme starting September 2024. This unique opportunity allows you to immerse yourself in delivering PE curricular and co-curricular activities at an exceptional independent day school.  As a Gap Year Assistant, you’ll be integral to the Physical Education Department, contributing to lessons, sports events, and school-wide activities including assemblies and clubs.  Your involvement will extend to organising and participating in events like Sports Days and Open Days, going beyond the conventional school hours.

    The Role:

    Croydon High School are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Music to contribute to the department’s tradition of excellence. Teaching Music across all key stages you will inspire students with your passion for the subject. You will play a central role in the extensive co-curricular music programme, including orchestras, choirs, and chamber music, enhancing our students’ love for music and their performance skills. Taking advantage of our state-of-the-art facilities, including a Mac suite and recording studio, you will foster creativity and innovation in music education and performance.

    With Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a proven track record in teaching Music, you will possess strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to professional development.     The Role: 

    Croydon High School has an exciting opportunity for an innovative Art and 3D Design Technician to join its well-resourced art department, assisting teaching staff in the practical delivery of the curriculum.

    In this part time role, you will be responsible for preparing equipment, the day-to-day maintenance of machinery, managing stock levels and supervising pupil activity.

    The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to work autonomously as well as part of a team, and will be able to communicate appropriately and effectively with students. You will possess previous experience in an Art Technician role/3D Design Technician role, as well as experience of working with a range of Art/3D Design materials and techniques.

    Your practical knowledge will include the use of sewing machines and clay kilns. Experience of using photography dark room equipment and digital imagery will be advantageous.
