The Emma Pattison Limitless Learning Scholarship Fund | Croydon High School

As a teacher, a leader and a colleague, Emma made an enormously positive impact on those she worked with. Croydon High School, together with the wider GDST community, is committed to honouring her memory in a way that recognises her unwavering commitment to empowering and supporting girls’ futures.

Emma’s energy and commitment to creating opportunities for intellectual curiosity was clear in so many ways. She personally devised and led the GDST’s groundbreaking “Limitless Learning” educational programme, during the pandemic, inspiring and supporting girls’ learning during those difficult times. Emma’s focus, encapsulated by our school mantra, every girl, every day, was her inspiration and nothing gave her more joy than to ignite the spark that launches a young person on a new academic adventure.

With this in mind, and with the blessing of Emma’s family, we have decided to establish a fundraising appeal, aiming to nurture and support the academic aspirations of some of the inspiring young women joining the Sixth Form at Croydon High.

Funds raised will allow the school to award scholarships to those who show an appetite for learning and an infectious enthusiasm for their subjects, and to those who have the potential to become empathetic future leaders and trailblazers, just like Emma. We believe the recipients of these scholarships will be forever inspired by her legacy.
