On Wednesday 15 October, whilst everyone was still sleeping, we woke up early and took the coach to Gatwick Airport. Córdoba is in the South of Spain, and the weather was generally very hot and humid. We landed at Malaga airport at 11:30am where we went to see the most serene and gorgeous beach. There were palm trees everywhere, and the sand was so white and clean. We all stopped at a little tapas bar, where everyone bought a tasty snack before getting back on the coach to go meet our host families.
The people we all stayed with were very nice and accommodating, and one host family even had a dog! The next day, we had breakfast and then met up to do 3 hours of Spanish lessons. It was great and helped us to communicate with our families when we got back. Over the next few days, we were busy going to the Mosque Cathedral, Seville Bullring, a winery and an olive farm.
Overall, the Córdoba trip was an amazing experience, and we would highly recommend it. We also need to thank Ms Wood, Ms Burgess and Ms Harvey for making this trip happen. These three teachers put up with the endless squeals of excitement and the infinite songs we sang on the coach.
