Year 6 enjoyed an exciting residential trip to the PGL centre at Windmill Hill. After arriving and settling into their accommodation, the group sat down to a delicious dinner of lasagne before taking part in a country-themed treasure hunt. The girls impressed PGL instructors with how quickly they solved the clues and were praised for their enthusiasm and commitment throughout the activity.
The following three days were packed with a wide range of activities, including raft building, wall climbing, the giant swing, archery, orienteering, and problem-solving challenges. There were plenty of opportunities for everyone to develop teamwork and build their confidence. It was especially rewarding to see so many girls take on new challenges, step outside their comfort zones and successfully overcome their fears.
Throughout the stay, the girls were commended by PGL staff for their consistently excellent manners, showing themselves to be outstanding ambassadors for the school’s values.
The girls returned to school, tired but with many happy, lasting memories of a truly rewarding experience.
PGL is a place where you face your fears and you are encouraged to get out of your comfort zone.

PGL was so different to doing lessons indoors. I got to know different people in the year group who I hadn’t known very well before.

I was lucky enough to have my birthday during our trip to PGL and all my friends and the staff were really supportive and I had so much fun!
