Reception trip to Kidzania

Reception went on a very exciting trip to Kidzania, Westfield, London on Friday 5th November. We enjoyed celebrating the end of our topic, ‘People Who Help Us’, from last half term. Kidzania is a place where every child is given the freedom to be whoever they want and explore inside a unique indoor city created just for them. It is a town run by kids, and let me tell you we certainly did run the town on this trip! The girls were able to aspire to take on roles from different careers in first-hand experiences: working in the supermarket, taking on the role of all the emergency services—fire brigade, police officers and ambulances. The highlight of the day was having three of our groups each involved in the emergency services at the same time with the mantra, ‘we are the emergency services, we work together’. An experience you would struggle to replicate outside of the city! Pupils took part in important tasks throughout the day, including operating on a dog at the vet and a person in the hospital. Other activities the girls enjoyed included: working for H & M to design a dress and helping service a car in the Shell garage. A trip we will all remember for a long time, the classes were a credit to the school and behaved and conducted themselves appropriately throughout the day.
