GDST Charity Tech Challenge 2021

Nine girls from Year 5 took part in the GDST Charity Tech Competition. They have been working (virtually) hard over the past few weeks in groups of 3 with pupils from other GDST schools to brainstorm ideas and launch a charity to support a cause that is close to their hearts. They created logos for their charities and used the colour emotion guide to help them choose the colours for their branding. They also created a website with all the information about their charity and, in their websites, they have embedded forms for donors and volunteers to fill out. Some groups even designed merchandise with their branding to sell and planned events to host as part of their fundraising initiative.

In the final session on Wednesday, they presented their ideas virtually to a panel of judges from the other GDST schools and to staff members from the GDST Trust Office. The judges were amazed at the standard of work produced by all teams. Well done Girls, we are so proud of you!

Congratulations to Anna T’s team for winning the Gold Award and Naiha D’s team for winning the Silver Award.
