Safer Internet Day

All pupils from Years 1 to 6 took part in the Safer Internet Day 2021 activities during their GHL Computer Science lessons.

Safer Internet Day is a global annual event and this year it was held on 9th February 2021. It is a global celebration all about technology and how children and young people can use the internet responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.

The theme for Safer Internet Day 2021 was:

An Internet we trust 

Exploring reliability in the online world

The main focus for this theme was to guide pupils towards separating fact from fiction and encouraging them to question and challenge what they see or read in the online world.  All year groups were given tips on how to support one another and strategies to spot and speak out against harmful and misleading content online.
