Light it Up

Presenters from the L’Oréal Young Scientist Centre at the Royal Institution gave a virtual science workshop to GDST schools yesterday. They demonstrated rainbow fire, optical illusions and many more exciting science demonstrations on the illuminating topic of light!

Amari P: I thought that the optical illusions were fascinating and clever. I also really liked it when they put the magnesium near the blow torch, and it made a big bight light.

Tabby T: The science workshop was extremely fun. It was so exciting, and I learnt so much. It has even inspired me to become a scientist too. 

Zia M: I LOVED the science workshop! It was so interesting, and I loved seeing the chemical fire reactions. I found it interesting that the sparklers didn’t go out, even in the liquid nitrogen!
