Chemistry in Action

Last week on Tuesday 17th November, we participated in the Chemistry in Action event. We received talks on multiple different topics including nuclear energy and chemistry in conflict. Not only did they overlap with our chemistry A-Level but allowed us to gain a better knowledge of chemistry in the real world. They also helped us gain a wider knowledge in other subjects we are studying. Our personal favourite talk was the last one called Nuclear Energy Uncovered. It was incredibly engaging and relevant to the talks on climate change happening and whether nuclear fusion is a realistic option for us in the future. Not only was this experience really insightful but we also really enjoyed engaging in the talks through the chat boxes and interacting with the activities involved.
