Reigate Model United Nations (ReiMUN)

Last Saturday, we made the annual journey to Reigate Grammar School for the 23rd annual Reigate Model United Nations (ReiMUN).  15 girls represented Barbados, Cote d’Ivoire and Iceland in a day of heated debate on issues of pressing international concern. As always, delegates were divided into committees where they discussed such matters as The Question of Outer Space (peaceful use of); The Question of Employment in Post-Conflict Environments and The Question of Organ Trafficking. Everyone had their own highlights and, as usual, the frantic diplomatic negotiation conducted through note-passing in the General Assembly was much enjoyed. At the closing ceremony we were delighted that Renae Baker-Manuwa (in her first ever conference!) and Aditi Rammohan were both given highly commended awards for their performance. Well done!  The next conference is of course our own, CROYMUN, which is now only four weeks away.
